{Ian Jones}
Ian Jones studied Graphic Design at the Lace Market School of Art and Design, Nottingham.
Ian bridges the gap between abstract and figurative painting to create a landscape that simultaneously reflects reality and fantasy.
Although his work is predominantly digital he believes that the computer is a tool to aid traditional techniques rather than overshadow. The work contains a mixture of Photography, Collage, Ink and Spray paint. Bursting with colour, figures, animals morph off the canvas creating vivid imagery.
Texture and controlled chaos is perhaps the most important element in illustration although the work often carries a sense of humour and playfulness under the surface.
Influenced by Mythology, Cinema, Music and Pop Art. Ian is slowly building a name for himself within the art scene backed by collectors and positive gallery group showings.
