Kathy Prest, worldwide renowned sculptor. After studying contemporary dance, became increasingly interested in the movement of the human body, and began to understand more about anatomy. This inspired her to create sculptures using the enigmatic body of a dancer as it becomes simplified when caught in a moment of time, even when twisted in a complex shape it still expresses the joy in the spirit and beauty of the human figure. Lately Kathy has developed and intensified her style by sometimes sculpting fabric and other materials; this creates dynamism and serves to distract the eye from the human form accentuating the unbridled energy of the spirit within.

Recently awarded the honour of becoming one of the elected members of the Society of Women Artists, Kathy Prest's work has won many awards, including the First Prize at The Art of Love annual Art prize, which was held last year (2009) at the Gallery at Oxo and Barge house in the famous Oxo Tower Wharf, a London landmark building on the South Bank.

Kathy continues to work to commission’s constantly evolving her style to suit her avid collectors.
