Marion Bolognesi lives and works in New York, dividing her time between accessory design (her day job) and her personal passion for expressive, illustrative water colour paintings. Figurative in nature she allows the paints to run freely giving the viewer an element of fluidity although with sheer talent she encourage the paints to blend and work together to create detailed facial features. She uses dramatic use of colour and light brushwork onto paper to capture the intense visual essence of her models.
Marion’s watercolour faces have recently taken the art world by storm in the US and more recently in Japan induced by some fabulous collaboration work with design raconteur Stephen Holding and world renowned artist Zach Johnsen. Marion sublime use of whitespace, the beautiful lively eyes amongst bright colours inspires a great deal of admiration from viewers.
Marion is now receiving much demand and critical acclaim in the US and Australia.
