{Paul Mellia}

Paul Mellia, British Air brush phenomenal artist creates work taken from the imagery
of 1950’s culture, movies, comic books and pulp-magazines, adding a 3- dimensional effect to the finished artwork that makes the compositions individual and very special.

Paul was commissioned to create a life size hoarding to surround a prestigious development in the docklands in 1989. This mural was unveiled by the then arts minister Richard Luce. In 1991 The Trocadero in London commissioned Paul to create 58 robot images (1.8m x 1.2) on aluminium sheet that was voted best retail artwork for that year. Paul studied at the Southend College of Art and graduated in 1976.

Paul then spent a number of years in the USA working as an artist with private commissions for the likes of Lisa Marie Presley, Tommy Lee, Seal, Banksy, Jonathan Ross and many other A list celebrities. His exhibition of popular art culture sold out within 2 weeks in the Sunset Boulevard gallery, Hollywood.

Paul was honoured to re-create these images for Marvel. He now exhibits worldwide.
