Covering stories as diverse as the UDI in Rhodesia in 1966, the Paris riots in "68, the Yom Kippur War of "73, the U.S Presidential elections of "75 and the birth of Zimbabwe in 1980.

Within his portfolio are portraits of Orson Welles, Sean Connery, John Gielgud, Winston Churchill, The Beatles and Duke Ellington.

He was chosen to work with Hunter Davies behind the scenes at Tottenham Hotspur FC in 1972 for the book, The Glory Game.

He has travelled to Africa with Bob Geldof to record the famine relief work of Band Aid.


His work is held in many private collections and the National Portrait Gallery has recently purchased his work for their permanent collection.
