Description

The iconic spraycan is ‘super-sized’ into a statement piece combining his traditional imagery with cutting edge techniques and materials.  

The cans, only 10 of each worldwide, are meticulously created and completed with his trademark Hanko stamps, Metal Leaf highlights plus a 24 Carat Gold Leaf ‘Halo’.  Check out subtle details like the GTE logo on the spray can cap. 

The sculptures are held within a bespoke acrylic presentation case with a – concept to product designed - lighting mechanism within the upper plinth.  Activated via a brass touch sensor in the plinth or remote control, the LED light transforms the sculpture going through multiple colour configurations.  The upper plinth is removable to enable is to be recharged via an integrated USB-C socket.

Gareth Tristan Evans is a professional mixed media artiste based in the North West of England. The creative process is a mix of photography, digital techniques, hand applied finishes as well as traditional pencil and brush work to achieve the finished pieces.

He is best known for his two series 'Urban Geisha' and 'My Father's Books' both of which are exhibited in galleries in the North of England and Scotland.

Gareth's ‘Urban Geisha’ series presents captivating images composed of portraiture, decorative pattern, rich colour and texture. Drawing inspiration from childhood comics, music and a classics degree, the blend of vintage, retro and contemporary is often clear to see. Much of his work from ‘My Father’s Books’ to the ‘In Layers’ versions of the Geisha series are presented within a 3D format.
