Artist
Eddy Vitalone is a French painter born in 1984 in Moulins. From a very young age, he developed a strong passion for drawing and popular culture. After studying applied arts, he continued his artistic journey at the School of Fine Arts in Clermont-Ferrand, graduating in 2007.
From the beginning of his career, Eddy Vitalone established a bold and instantly recognizable visual signature, based on an audacious fusion of pop culture and European pictorial heritage.
He created a unique artistic universe that he named Pop Baroque a style where the exuberance and aesthetic codes of the Baroque era blend with the playful and colourful icons of pop culture. Bugs Bunny, Garfield, Scrooge McDuck, Betty Boop, and Daffy Duck become the main characters in a gallery of works full of humor, satire, and nostalgia.
Working primarily with acrylics and spray paint on canvas or plexiglass, Vitalone plays with textures, chromatic contrasts, and cultural references. His richly detailed compositions evoke
both the collective imagination of cartoons and the theatrical aesthetics of Baroque painting, creating a striking and emotionally resonant visual experience.
The Pop Baroque collection, a true artistic manifesto, illustrates the meeting of two worlds: the classical, symbolic, and extravagant world of fine art, and the contemporary world, saturated with images and pop culture references.
Internationally recognized, Eddy Vitalone has been exhibiting his work since the 2000s in France, Italy, Germany, the United States, Poland, Belgium, Portugal, the United Arab Emirates, Israel, and beyond. He has participated in major art fairs such as Art Verona, Lille Art Up, Art Montpellier, Lausanne Art Fair, ST’Art, Scope Art Fair Miami Beach, and Spectrum Miami.
Today, he is represented by more than 23 galleries and his work is sold in 12 countries around
