Introducing Jameson Robinson

Having been on the art scene for nearly 10 years Jameson Robinson has established himself as a talented and versatile artist.

Jameson started painting London bricks for fun in 2014 to make them look like Lego! Over time he started including imagery as a way to breathe new life into the solid material.

In 2018 during a visit to the Falkland Islands an interest in penguins was ignited and they started to appear on his bricks in the form of the iconic Penguin books logo. Penguins are now a firm favourite with Jameson’s followers and he is well-known for their inclusion in his works.

Jameson uses various techniques, quite often painting an original by hand and then using stencil to repeat its use or alternative designs and backgrounds. His medium is acrylic but he mixes in rust pigments, metallic colours for ageing effects.
